My name is Joanna Wright. Anyone who knows me by any more than acquaintance, knows that I am obsessed with all things Mid-Century Modern. I am drawn to the clean lines and attention to detail. If you were to come to my house, you would find it is full of beautiful solid wood Mid Mod furniture. I really dislike furniture sold at most large stores today that are overpriced with just a thin layer of veneer over a different cheaper material or a cheaper less durable wood. I care about things being made well.
As much as I can, I try to translate that into any work I do. Whether in software engineering, making sure that code is resilient, well constructed, and well tested, not just a pretty facade, or in process and team development, I want things to be done with purpose, not just to check a box.
